Locksmith Prices 2024
- Labour rate: Mon-Fri 7am-7pm (Exl. Bank Holidays) £75.00, all other times: £95.00 flat fee
- Rim Cylinders (Also known as Yale type locks) £25.00 – £45.00
- Kite Marked Euro Cylinders (For double glazed doors) From £55.00
- Mortice locks (Also known as Chubb locks or skeleton key locks) From £65.00 -£95.00

Automotive prices:
- Vehicle Entry £75.00
- Cut new key from existing key (Cut to copy) £11.00
- Cut new key from code taken from your vehicle (Cut to code) £15.00
- Clone your existing Key (This is where we use equipment to read the signal your remote fob sends to your car and duplicate it onto a second microchip that we can then put into a new remote fob) £60.00
- New transponder £5.00 – £20 depending on vehicle.
- Remote Basic non-flip/two button flip – chrome edged three button flip £25 – £55.00
- Retrieve data from your car to create new keys £35.00+ (This is where you have lost all keys and we have to plug into your car computer to read all the information needed to create a new key, tie that information up with data from the manufacturer to produce the correct codes for making your new key/s. In some extreme cases, this may require taking your vehicle to a local garage in order to have certain parts removed in order to gain access to the vehicle’s computer. The cost of any garage work is entirely down to the customer and will be a separate contract between the customer and the garage).
- Pin code read. If we have to plug into your car computer, we can retrieve a pin code that should make future duplication of keys easier, along with a code for the actual cutting of the keys £15.00
- Travel. 0-30 miles from Holt: no charge 30 – 60 miles £30.00, 60 – 100 miles £50.00. This is purely to cover fuel and time lost travelling to and from jobs that could result in lost work closer to home. Miles are measured as on the road and not as the crow flies. Customers are welcome to bring their keys to us for cloning where possible, strictly by appointment only as I have no shop front.
- Battery Change. If you bring your fob to us by pre-arranged appointment only, we will supply and fit a new battery for you £15.00
Please note these are locksmith guide prices as the level of security varies greatly from lock to lock. We will always do our best to give you as accurate a price as possible over the phone and a definite price before work commences on site.We will advise you on the benefits of BSB kite marked products, but the choice will be yours as to what locks you have fitted. All new locks come with a one year guarantee. (In some instances where money is short, we can provide second hand locks. These will be tested but will not come with guarantees.)
